day 53: Sunset through the smoke

This was actually taken on Saturday, not Friday, but don’t tell anyone. Saturday we drove up to Apple Valley and as we came out of the pass and saw the high desert ahead, we noticed a layer which looked like a dust cloud, as it turned out it was more of a cloud of smoke, which blew through in the heavy wind all day. This made for some interesting optical effects. Visibility was very low, and I was hoping for a spectacular sunset, but it was not as exciting as I had hoped. Nevertheless, here is what it looked like.
